German Lied Academy

3. German Lied Academy 2011 for Lied Duos
Trossingen, Germany, 29.August to 3.September 2011

[DEUTSCHE VERSION]

We are pleased to announce that the 3. German Lied Academy 2011 will take place again, as a result of the large interest and great success of the 1. and 2. German Lied Academy in 2009/2010. This time the artistic team consists of six acclaimed teachers in Art Song from German State music universities. The concept of the Academy is to give advanced students, young singers and pianists, the opportunity to work intensively with many instructors at one location. This idea provides the participants with different approaches to practical artistic work and conveys to them a deeper understanding of Art Song.

The University of Music Trossingen Germany, a continuing collaborative partner, has fortunately agreed again to host the German Lied Academy at its Institute with all its facilities. Each instructor has chosen their own focus of topics, which should also complement one another. Therefore it is possible to work in all large areas of Lieder repertoire, exploring various points of view and approaches in the interpretation of Art Song.
